Skoolie Dweller

Now that all the windows and doors are out of the bus, a Carolina wren decided the front of the bus would be a good place for a nest.  Joseph is working around it, and covering it as needed, while he readies the bus for the roof raise.  He's done quite a bit to get ready, though I can't tell you specifics, other than he's detaching things.

I removed all the seat assignment cards, to save with the rest of the bus history.  The variety of children's names was pretty amazing.  There were old fashioned ones, like Caleb and Zebulon, interesting spellings such as Eriq, Dilan, Sindy and Ashely, and names that were new to me, such as Amora, Reality, Nevaeh, Naira, Ki'arra, Praven, Delayah, and Makyi.  Isn't it a blessing to have such diversity in our world?

Guinness on board hanging out, offering us encouragement.

Those wrens find the best lil' nooks to grow their families!

Yes, thankful for the diversity in our world.

Sweet Guinness definitely looks like he is helping. 😁 It certainly is interesting to see where birds will build a nest, isn't it?

Guinness is a real sweetie. Joseph checked, now that the nest has eggs, and it should be around three weeks before they'll have fledged. He's a little antsy to get work done in that corner, but will hold off until then.

Joseph is kind working around the mama bird. You have a good man there.

Speaking of unusual names, how did Guinness receive his moniker?

He is a good man. So, Guinness... Well, we named our pup that came to us just before him McNibs, which is a catch all name/term of endearment for my siblings and I, that my Irish grandparents used for us. It always made me smile, and when my brother suggested it for our pup, I loved it. When Guinness came to us shortly after, on the day before St. Patrick's Day, thinking of keeping the Irish theme going, a friend suggested Guinness, which fit well, so there you have it.
