Double Dog Dare

While drinking some juice yesterday, this cup brought me smiles.  It's one I spied while visiting Anne at the Spring Kiln opening a few weeks ago, and just had to have. I love the two dogs and the heart on their dog dish.  We bartered soap for pottery, which works great for me.
Another friend shared this video yesterday.  A sweet dog, a silly person...  Well, you know that works for me.  I wish you a Mother's Day surrounded by those you love... mothers, adopted mothers and others.

Birthdays, Chicks & Brownies

Last night, I made winter squash & chocolate brownies, which Elspeth shared on her blog. They were moist & delicious, and just have to be good for you, with the squash and all. Don't you think? The chicks are chirping away this morning, a pleasant sound to have in the house. Helps to make up for all the chicken dust.

I've been thinking some more about kazoos. When my siblings and I were still at home, my Mom would wake us up on our birthday playing Happy Birthday on a kazoo. I'm having the family out this Saturday to celebrate my Mom's and J's birthdays. I'm thinking we just may have to break out the kazoos again!

Silly Dog Saturday

My Mom recently sent me a link that has had me giggling every time I've thought about it since. It's silly and involves a big dog... works for me! My favorite part comes close to the end, so don't give up on it. It may not be terribly high tech-- you can hear the videographer laughing throughout, but I'm right there with her. I've been admiring the primroses that other bloggers have shown, and picked one up yesterday. It says it's a perennial, but I suspect it's a tender perennial. More research is in order. You've got a few more hours to enter the giveaway if you haven't already. Just go right here. I'll announce the winner tomorrow.

Bloggers

I love all the wonderful, wise, silly, creative bloggers out there. Today has been a long day. Massage work this morning, a quick dropoff of some of my products, then headed to my nursing job this afternoon. But, this post was just what I needed. If you're a chicken lover, and can use a laugh, I'd highly recommend it. And I don't even watch the Olympics! But I do love some silly.

Skeeter

I took some pics of Joseph's latest creation today. I guess you can figure out why he's calling it Skeeter. I had a good massage day at Hospice, which is encouraging, because I only have a handful more nursing days left to work. It will be interesting to see what new things show up once that door is closed.
