The Scent of Basil

A few weeks ago, my Mom got a basil plant.  Every time I was at her house, I'd have to pass my hand over it and inhale.  It smells like summer to me.  I'm happy I now have one too.  Joseph had a birthday this week, and some of that basil made it into a pasta birthday meal.

Our little furniture business is doing well.  I've even opened an account with a local trucking company, as most of the pieces are big enough to require shipping by freight.  This kitchen table shipped today, headed for California.  The days are turning warm and sunny.  I hope the days are warmer wherever you are, friends!

Hey! You got a basil plant!! Glad the table made it out safely, too.

Yes, Stephanie, I ran across them at Aldi's!

Glad to hear that the furniture is doing well! The table looks great. Our basils are at the two leaf stage! But I still have pesto in the freezer from last year. Happy Spring and belated Happy Birthday to Joseph from both of us.

You're ahead of me, Jennie, as far as planted basil. I need to get some seeds started. Happy Spring to you & Wes!

I was just thinking that I needed to buy some basil plants.
How wonderful that the furniture sales are taking off. I am not surprised, they are beautiful.
