Do you suppose it says something about the state of my hair that a bird landed in it this morning :o)? A
tufted titmouse, to be exact. Standing on the porch, talking to McNibs, I suddenly felt little bird feed attach themselves to my hair. I'd been hearing birdsong and birds fluttering about, but that was a surprise. I looked to see if there was any sign of a nest on the porch, but did not see any. Wonder if it's any indication how the rest of the day will pan out. Well, at least it will be interesting!
With all the talk from family and on various blogs, I decided to begin the Downton Abbey series on Netflix. I've watched the first two episodes, and have been pleasantly surprised. I've even caught J engrossed in it, in between working on his laptop.
There's quite a prolific variety of fruit developing on the homestead this spring... peaches, pears, pawpaws, apples, mulberries, grapes, and figs so far. The kiwis even appear to be loaded with their first flower buds. Unfortunately, I don't see any buds on the male plants, and J says we need both for fruit. I'm hoping they're just a little late in developing. If you have any kiwi growing experience, please do share.

haha, I've had my wild hair twisted up in a clip nearly everyday. This wet weather every few days makes a good fuzzy mess out of my curls.
Kellie, it seemed like every year before our school pictures, I'd work so hard to tame my hair, and it always rained, so it'd be wild anyways.
how magical to have a bird land in your hair! i have quite enjoyed watching downton abbey (i am an avid masterpiece theater viewer)--i think that the second season is even better than the first.
Meredith, that's exciting to think the 2nd season is even better. Though I made light of it, it was pretty special to be that close to a bird for a few moments.
I think that is the coolest thing that a bird felt comfortable enough to land in your hair, I think that's a sign of good luck to come for sure.
Good luck to come sounds lovely, Linda :o)
i had a bird land in my hair once too, only in the house. it had come through the furnace vent. i felt something on my head and called a little panicky (hadn't seen it) for my husband at the time and he walked in nonchalantly and said "you have a bird on your head".
maybe our hair just looks nestlike. anyway i agree with Linda, perhaps a sign of good luck.
