MidWinter

The weekend was a raw, gray one.  By Saturday evening, I had a bit of winter doldrums.  To counter that yesterday, there was more than the usual lighting on in the house, some candles lit, a batch of blueberry pancakes, music playing, and a new pink gerbera daisy on the table.  How do you cope with midwinter?

I think we've plowed/blown the driveway three times this winter and most of our snow is thinning out. Having more sunshine has helped. Tending to indoor plants helps get me through the doldrums of winter. I set up a mini greenhouse in the dining room and start new geranium plants, etc. too.

Mrs. Mac, you've inspired me to try & start geraniums. I've never done this, but have kept a couple going in the cold frame each winter. I'll have to research how to do this.
