Last post, I told you about the calendula I found blooming here. I since found one of my orchids blooming. There are many more buds on it, so I hope it will cheer us with it's beauty much of this winter. I do so love blooming pretties!
I'm a soapmaker, massage therapist, "retired" cardiac nurse, metal artist and gardener. Living a simple, green lifestyle is my passion, and something I continue to learn about. The organic gardens here grow food, flowers & herbs, some of which I use in my soaps. My house was built with the help of several other folks. It took many years, but it is now my sanctuary, and where I'm learning to honor my creativity. The blog is a way to share this, as well as gardens, chickens, cooking, simple living, and thoughts of the day. Believing words are powerful and can help create our reality, along with soapmaking, is how the blog was named, rather than there being any exceptional cleanliness here on the homestead :o). Thanks for taking this journey along with me!

It's beautiful, Laurie. I have three, but no signs of blooming so far, this year. Enjoy, and thanks for sharing. Peace, Stephanie
laurie, that's gorgeous...i've never gotten up the nerve to get an orchid, maybe someday!
Oh what a lovely orchid and love the metal critters you've shown below.
