I began by putting the amaryllis bulbs in my crawl space over winter, but didn't have luck with them reblooming until I started planting them in the ground. They are sitting outside under a shade tree in pots and seem to be happy. I did bring them in during the winter and stored them in the garage. I never thought they would bloom but was just enjoying their foliage.
